Fisk University and Franklin Library

The Fisk University John Hope and Aurelia E. Franklin Library is the academic hub of the university, working to support the academic programs by providing books, electronic resources, and other materials. The present building was completed in 1969 and opened in January 1970. It houses over 240,000 volumes. Special Collections is a major national resource for the study of the African-American experience.

Does the following answers meet the CRAAP Test criteria?

  • Evaluating research source?
  • How reliable is this source?
  • Does it contain primary sources?
  • Does it discuss original research?
  • Is the article peer reviewed?
  • How often has it be cited?

Evaluating Resources- CRAAP Test Criteria

The CRAAP test can be used to evaluate websites, books, articles and a range of resources. CRAAP is an acronym for each step of the process of evaluating a source.

  • C: Currency. 
  • RRelevance. 
  • A: Authority. 
  • A: Accuracy. 
  • P: Purpose.
